Does Vivint have a monthly fee?
With Vivint professionals monitoring your home 24/7, it makes sense that Vivint has a monthly monitoring fee. Video monitoring packages start as low as $44.99, depending on the number of cameras you want to include in your package. There is a one-time installation fee and a one-time moving fee if you're switching homes. The only monthly fee though is the monitoring fee.
Do Vivint cameras record without WiFi?
Your Vivint cameras work online and offline. That means they record during outages, making it a truly wireless experience. If you want to receive alerts on the Vivint App or if you need to access live video from your phone, you will need both your camera and your phone connected to the internet.
Can I use my home security system without monitoring?
Technically, you can, but we wouldn't recommend it. If you're away from your house at the time of theft without someone monitoring your home, a burglar can break in without repercussions. While the security system can still sound the alarm when this happens, it won't call the cops for you or alert you on your phone without a camera monitoring system.
